Description

This short trail run is perfect for everyone who wants to try trail running for the first time. Along the way, two rewarding opportunities for a short break await with the photo spot of the Grand Tour of Switzerland and the Wangsersee. In addition to focusing on training, it is also worth taking enough time to enjoy the stunning panorama during the run. This route can also be planned from Wangs (with gondola and chair lifts to the Pizol hut and from there towards the high path).

Hidden Gem

Trail running workshops take place on various dates at Pizol. Led by certified running guides and professional athletes.

Safety Note

The trail offers no technical difficulties, the paths are all wide and well maintained.

Equipment

Normal trail running equipment (trail running shoes recommended everywhere). Bring sufficient food and drinks (self-catering principle). Maps and a mobile phone with good reception.

Directions

From Bad Ragaz we take the gondola lift to Pardiel and from there we ride the chair lift to Laufböden. At the mountain station of the chair lift, we start left towards the photo spot / high path. We follow the well-maintained and wide hiking trail up to the highest point of this route. At 2275 meters above sea level, we have a MAGNIFICENT 360° view of the surrounding mountain landscape. After enjoying the view, the trail continues towards Wangsersee. Upon arrival, the trail runs right back towards Laufböden. With the chair and gondola lifts, we return to Bad Ragaz.

Directions
