Details

Description

Embedded between the limestone walls of the Flimserstein and the steep slopes of Lavadignas, a magnificent high plateau opens up. Bargis lies at around 1150 metres and is comfortably reached by shuttle bus from Flims post. Through the car-free and snow-sure valley flows the mountain stream Aua da Mulins. The stream, which forms the natural municipal boundary between Trin and Flims, is also mostly followed by the winter hiking trail. At Bargis, the Aua da Mulins flows into the Turniglabach, which flows down to Trin Mulin. Exactly where the waters merge, the winter hiking trail crosses twice. Away from the hustle and bustle, it then leads deeper into the valley on the right side of the stream. At the Alp Bargis there is a turnaround, the route crosses the stream again and now follows it back to the starting point on the other side. The flat circuit is especially suitable for families and elderly people. It offers a dream backdrop with the surrounding mountain range.
