Description

On a beautiful day, when it is almost too hot for a hike even in Bergün, we recommend this refreshing hiking route. Past refreshing, stalactite-like rock overhangs, through moss-covered so-called animal hospitals. Funtanislas in the valley floor is like a green oasis. Stop for a moment and enjoy the outstandingly beautiful natural landscape. Take a deep breath and smell the fresh mossy mountain air.

After the hike you will feel rested, invigorated and relaxed.

Geheimtipp

Funtanislas is the ideal reading place for Bergünerstein 1 and Bergünerstein 2, the murder of Antonia Bertschinger.

Sicherheitshinweis

The hike is easy. In places, the trail is wet and a bit slippery.

Ausrüstung

Good footwear and hiking poles.

Directions

The hiking route first leads through the beautiful village of Bergün, past the Bergholzzentrum and the Zinols ski area towards Crestota. Through the shady forest, descend towards the Albula stream. Past erfirschen, dripstone-like rock overhangs, through moss-covered so-called animal hospitals, they finally reach the wooden bridge below the Bergünerstein. The view out of the valley, up to the Albula Pass road, which was built in 1696 through the Bergünerstein, is equally imposing and grandiose. The route now leads into the valley. A few minutes will take you to Funtanislas. Funtanislas in the valley floor is like a green oasis. Stop for a moment and enjoy the outstandingly beautiful natural landscape.

Back to Berün you reach the village after a short climb towards Cox and then along the Albula.
