Put on the pedals and we're up!
Details
Description
First we use the new bridge at the valley station of the cable car Cuolm da Vi, which leads over the stream Drun. Just like today, it is usually just a harmless stream, but in heavy rain it can behave like a dangerous dragon. On a road, we now hitchhike relatively comfortably on regular hairpin bends towards our destination. Only the last section is a little steeper. Depending on the time of day, we enjoy a coffee with cake, a hearty soup or a "Marenda" at Cungieri. (Zvieriplättli). The terrace and the cosy Stübli are an ideal place to philosophise about God and the world with a good glass of wine and friends. In a small space you can also quickly get into conversation with other guests or with the host.
On the valley we drive into Val Bugnei, which is technically a bit more difficult in the upper part. If you like it easy, roll on the same route back to the starting point.
Geheimtipp
We look up to the Cungieri before the start - when the flag is raised, the Ustria is open!
If you start at the old Cungieri valley station, you can find out about the opening hours on a board: or www.cungieri.ch
Directions
From the parking lot of the Cable Car Cuol da Vi we first cross the bridge over the Drun Bach. On the other side we follow the road to Cungieri. For the descent we branch off a little below the Cungieri, at the cross, left into Val Bugnei. Up to the alpine huts we drive on a single trail, afterwards we can change back to the left on a road. At the train station in Bugnei we follow the hiking trail next to and above the railway line until the circle closes again.
