Description

The route takes us into the Val Plattas, where we soon find ourselves far away from hustle and bustle. Through a bright forest and in short bends, we ascend to the picturesque alpine farms of Gliarauns. On the other side of the valley, at the foot of the mighty Piz Muraun, which appears more protective than threatening, lies our destination Bisquolm. But we are not there yet! After the alpine farms of Gliarauns, we follow the path a little downhill and cross the Rein da Plattas.

After a short ascent, we reach an open pasture and Bisquolm with the pretty chapel Sontga Brida. It is a very idyllic place; we sit on the bench on the sunny side of the chapel. The descent down to the stream is quite steep and can partially be snow-free. We cross the stream for the second time on a new bridge and return to Curaglia.

Hidden Gem

Even when the sun is not shining, this route is highly recommended.

Safety Note

The descent after the chapel in Bisquolm is steep. Caution is advised. There may be snow-free sections in the forest. The route is marked, but those unfamiliar with the area are advised to print and take the topographical map for the route with them.
