Brambrüesch–Feldis Trail

This trail from Brambrüesch to Feldis – or vice versa – leads over the gentle and scenic plateau around the Dreibündenstein. At the border stone of the former three Rhaetian leagues, a 360-degree panorama can be admired, stretching from the local mountains around Chur, Arosa, and Lenzerheide to the Glarus Alps.

Clearly visible on the opposite Ringelspitz and extending to the Flims mountains (Segnes, Tschingelhörner): the mountain overthrust of the UNESCO World Heritage “Tektonikarena Sardona.” In this area, the processes of Alpine formation can be particularly well observed. Central feature is the razor-sharp line of the Glarus thrust, a surface where older rock was pushed over younger material during the formation of the Alps. The panorama board at the highest point of the hike (Furggabüel, 2174 m above sea level) provides information about the World Heritage Site as well as the names and heights of all surrounding peaks.

The descent leads through idyllic landscapes with snowy forests and alpine settlements to Mutta, from where the chairlift conveniently takes you to Feldis. The terrace on the slope of the Stätzerhorn ridge is the northernmost place within the Domleschger mountain villages. Cozy mountain restaurants with sun terraces are available in Brambrüesch, Mutta, and Feldis for enjoyment and relaxation.
