Description
The outdoor fitness trails in the Heidiland holiday region comprise more than 30 uniformly signposted running paths from a total of 10 stations and thus form one of the largest open-air fitness parks in the Alpine region. The Cafrida Trail is one of five running trails around the Flumserberg station.
The starting point for this 5.3 km long trail is the info point of the Flumserberg station opposite the Heidiland information point (1350 m above sea level.M). From there, the Cafrida Trail first leads on a tarred road to outside the village. Continue almost flat on the so-called 13-hundred-footpath to Cafrida (1333). From Cafrida you have a wonderful view in the direction of the Seeztal and towards the Chur Rhine Valley. After warming up, the challenge follows: From Cafrida, the trail leads over a cow pasture, which is accessible by a steep alpine path up to 1418 m above sea level. Once you have managed this slope, it is almost only downhill. Again on a tarred road, the circular route leads through a small forest over the Madils plateau to tannenbodenalp (1399), which offers a wonderful view of the Churfirsten. From the Tannenbodenalp it goes back to the starting point in Tannenboden dorf.
