Description

The Outdoor Fitness Trails in the Heidiland holiday region include over 30 uniformly signposted running routes from a total of 10 stations, making it one of the largest outdoor fitness parks in the Alpine region. The Cafrida Trail is one of five running routes around the Flumserberg station.

The starting point for this 5.3 km-long trail is the Infopoint of the Flumserberg station opposite the Heidiland Infostelle (1350 m above sea level). From there, the Cafrida Trail first follows a paved road outside the village. It then continues almost flat along the so-called 13-hundred-meter walking path to Cafrida (1333). From Cafrida, there is a magnificent view towards the Seeztal and in the direction of the Chur Rhine Valley. After warming up, the challenge begins: from Cafrida, the trail leads over a cow pasture, which is connected by a steep alpine path, up to 1418 m above sea level. Once you have mastered this climb, the route goes almost only downhill. The circular route then runs through a small forest on a paved road over the Madils Plateau to Tannenbodenalp (1399), which offers a wonderful view of the Churfirsten. From Tannenbodenalp, the trail returns to the starting point at Tannenboden village.
