Description

The ascent starts from Alp de Bec Sot, passing through vast green meadows where you could meet a group of cows grazing. Arriving at Alp de Bec Sura, you will be pampered by the whistle of marmots in the background. The trail then continues to climb through landscapes colored by numerous blooming rhododendrons. Sharpening your vision along the entire path, you might spot several beautiful wild animals. Continuing the route on Fil de Calvaresc, there will be several ups and downs. Finally, shortly after reaching Alp de Calvaresc Desora, the magical Calvaresc lake will start to appear. 

Hidden Gem

There is the possibility to make a detour along the route to reach the Buffalora hut, the only guarded hut of the Calanca. Located among beautiful pastures and larch forests with rhododendrons and blueberries, it will captivate all visitors with a stunning panorama.

Travel Information

There is the possibility to reach Alp de Bec by car by taking the forest road, but it is mandatory to request transit authorization from the municipality of Soazza.
