Description
The tour starts either from the valley road in Under Camana or from Ober Camana. It goes regularly uphill over the wide slopes southwest of the Camaner Hütta. At about 2300 meters above sea level, slowly turn left (NW) and trace the slopes and hollows along the ridge. A small-scale hilly landscape appears here completely unexpectedly and offers a very special landscape experience. The last 100 meters of altitude are now a bit steeper and have to be hard-earned. However, the enormous view down over the almost vertical northern slopes and the wide panorama on the summit easily compensate for the many beads of sweat. After all, a good 1100 meters of ascent are no piece of cake.
The descent can be done via the ascent route. On the Camaner Grat, however, this is not a fixed requirement. The wide slopes allow for various variants in safe conditions. Although it is not officially closed, we do not recommend driving in the Caman Forest. The wild animals seeking peace and quiet will thank you for it.
