Details
Description
From the village Danis, you can stroll comfortably on a small street to Zaniz. Then it goes partly somewhat steeper up via the hiking trail through the sunny forest to the Casti Grotta (ruin Kropfenstein). The wall remains are daringly embedded into the overhanging rock faces. But don’t worry, access is well secured and safe for you to walk. The further path leads to Waltensburg, where the Waltensburg Master has left his artistic traces in the Reformed church. The descent towards the Rhine is relatively steep over a short section. Those already tired of hiking at the valley floor can take the train back to Tavanasa and on foot to the starting point in Danis. Those who still want can enjoy a leisurely walk back to Danis via the Polenweg.
