Description

We leave the village heading north – the road uphill to Cungieri is perfect for warming up. From here we enjoy a wide view over the Val Tujetsch, from north to south, with the sun on our faces.

After a lively descent, we reach Surrein and cross the Rhine there over an impressive bridge – to the other side of the valley. The following ascent on a forest road through the shady Uaul Cavorgia with its old fir forest takes us up to the Stagias hill.

Next to the small fire pond, a fire pit with a fountain invites you to a well-deserved rest. A quick glance back at Sedrun, and then we gently roll down to Mompé Medel.

Now the view opens to the monastery village Disentis. The following singletrail to the Maiensäss of Fontauna demands full concentration once more, but then it becomes almost relaxed again on the forest road towards Cavorgia.
