Chamues-ch – Zuoz – San Bartumieu

The route begins and ends at the village square in Chamues-ch. After passing the 13th-century Romanesque church of San Andrea, the trail turns left toward Zuoz, heading into the fragrant forests. Short ascents and descents with alternating views of the golf course and the family ski area in Zuoz lead to Zuoz La Resgia. A short stretch on the paved road and across the Inn Bridge takes you to the orographic left bank of the Inn. The relaxing trail to Madulain crosses the San Bartumieu floodplain, which has been included in the Federal Inventory of Landscapes of National Importance. In Madulain, the smallest municipality in the Upper Engadine, you’ll pass by typical Engadine houses. At the edge of the village, the loop trail turns under the road bridge and through the fields toward Chamues-ch, where you’ll reach the village square again.
