Description

From Pardiel, the Beggar's Path climbs pleasantly up to Alp Lasa. Along the way you can discover the entire alpine flora, from bellflowers to hemp's foot, devil's claw and monkshood. After an ascent along the beautiful sunny slope with wonderful views of the Zanaital and the Zanaihörner in the background, you reach the high plateau on which Lake Wangsersee is located. On the way back, you take the 2-lake hike past the Viltersersee lake back to Pardiel. Both mountain lakes invite you to rest and linger.

Hidden Gem

The Bettlerweg trail and the 2-lake hike can also be done separately. You can comfortably cover one route with the Laufböden chairlift.

Public Transport

Take the train to Bad Ragaz, continue by post bus to the Bad Ragaz bus stop, Pizolbahn directly at the Bad Ragaz valley station. From there, take the gondola lift to Pardiel.

Travel Information

Freeway exit Bad Ragaz, then follow the signs to the valley station of the Pizolbahnen Bad Ragaz.

Parking

Public parking spaces available at the valley station (CHF 6.00 / day).
At both valley stations the parking lot costs a flat rate of CHF 6.00 per day (free for 45 minutes). For overnight guests at Pizol, the parking fee is reduced to CHF 4.00 per day from the 3rd overnight stay.

The Vilterser Seeli, part of the two-lake hike, is idyllically located in a cirque and fed by a mountain stream. The hike offers a walking time of about two and a half hours and an elevation difference of 600 meters.
