Details
Description
The circular hike starts in the spa town of Andeer and leads over the covered wooden bridge to the left side of the Hinterrhein. After the playground, we take the forest path that goes up to the left. It continues into the forest in a large right curve. We follow the forest path until it merges into the forest road. Along the forest road, it continues to the Cagliatscha Davains fireplace, where at the road bend we take the hiking trail towards the Cagliatscha ruins. The castle, built around 1266, is publicly accessible. From the nearby inviting fireplace, you enjoy a magnificent view of the Val Schons.
On a mountain hiking trail, it then goes down to Clugin. A visit to the listed church with its quite well-preserved wall paintings inside the church from the first half of the 14th century by the Waltensburg master is worthwhile. On the broad hiking trail of the historic viaSpluga, it goes comfortably back to Andeer.
