Details
Description
From the bus stop, walk to Alp Nurdagn at 2312 m above sea level. You may rest here; the local alpine inn offers simple, regional dishes (agritourism with catering and accommodation options). Then continue to the idyllic Lai Grand (Romansh for large lake), which invites you to linger. The lake is nestled in the Anarosa moorland, which is part of the inventory of 89 Swiss moorlands of special beauty and national significance. It provides valuable habitat for a variety of animal and plant species. Take a detour to the small sibling of Lai Grand, Lai Pingt (Romansh for small lake). The route continues via Alp Curtginatsch and back to the Tguma car park. From there, the hiking bus takes you down to Wergenstein (check timetable).
This is one of the highest alpine pasture moorlands in the Swiss Alps and offers valuable habitat for many animal and plant species.
