Description
Start and finish are in La Punt Chamues-ch with its stately patrician houses from the 16th and 17th centuries at the foot of the Albula Pass. The route starts at the Tourist Information of La Punt and initially leads southwards; after the Romanesque church San Andrea from the 13th century, the trail turns left towards Zuoz into the fragrant forests. Short ascents and descents with changing views of the golf course and the family ski area of Zuoz lead to Zuoz La Resgia. A short stretch on asphalt over the Inn bridge leads to the orographically left side of the Inn. The relaxing path to Madulain crosses the floodplain landscape San Batrumieu, which is included in the federal inventory of landscapes of national importance. In the smallest Upper Engadine municipality Madulain, you encounter typical Engadin houses. At the end of the village, the circular route turns under the road bridge towards La Punt, where at the entrance to the village you can still take a look at the Chesa Merleda with its brightly white battlements, the Albertini houses with their richly decorated facades, or the imposing Haus Sandoz.
