Description

From the tourism and sports center in Davos Platz, the route follows the Landwasser valley to Davos Glaris. After the almost 3 km long Landwasser tunnel, a short climb to Wiesen begins before reaching the lowest point via Schmitten with Alvaneu Bad. From here, the ascent towards the Albula Pass begins, passing the beautiful mountain villages of Filisur and Bergün. Until Preda, the Albula route, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its unique engineering structures, is crossed several times before reaching the pass summit at 2312 m above sea level. After a short descent to La Punt, the road follows the Inn River via Zernez to Susch in the Lower Engadin. Here, the climb to the Flüela Pass begins with steep ramps and sometimes narrow hairpin bends, overcoming nearly 1000 meters of altitude over about 13 kilometers, before the rapid descent from the pass summit through the Flüela valley leads back to the starting point in Davos.
