Davos Wolfgang Round
A winter trail running route in a dreamlike setting around Davos.
Details
Description
Start/finish is at the cross-country skiing center Dario Cologna in Davos. Following the edge of the forest, the route goes around Lake Davos over Höhwald up to Wolfgang.
From Wolfgang Pass, the path initially ascends along the Totalpbach, which is crossed after about half a kilometer via a bridge. On the snow-covered and traffic-free forest road, it continues through the deeply snow-covered forest, with the mountains around Davos repeatedly coming into view. At the end of Meierhofer forest, the path leads down to Meierhöfen. To get your pulse up a bit more, take the path uphill towards Tschuggen, which then leads back down to Davos Dorf.
Behind the Seehof Davos hotel, you climb once more to Salzgäbastrasse and then continue to the Hohe Promenade. This wonderful view over the roofs of Davos and the surrounding mountain landscape is well worth the effort. The route continues to Guggerbach, from where the path leads down to the promenade in the center of Davos Platz and then back to the cross-country skiing center Dario Cologna.
