Description

In some parts, the terrain is a bit steep and requires surefootedness. The dreamlike view over the Pers and Morteratsch glaciers, Piz Palü, Piz Bellavista, and Piz Bernina - the highest mountain of the Eastern Alps at 4049 m - amazes everyone. The return is along the same path. The highlight of the hike is setting off before sunrise (with a headlamp), as the spectacle of a waking day at the Bernina massif is unforgettable. You can stay directly at Diavolezza. The Munt Pers is surrounded by a legend that gave Diavolezza its name: "La Diavolezza" - the beautiful she-devil.
