Drachenweg Splügen

On the Dragon Trail, you accompany the lovable dragon George on a journey through history. Schorsch is already known to visitors from the Rheinwald Museum: According to legend, his home is in the historic Schorschhaus, where the museum is located today.

But this time Schorsch needs your help. As a time traveler, he has noticed that the past has become completely confused. Together you make your way through the village and solve exciting tasks at eight adventure stations. You assign objects to different eras, help transport goods, discover historic buildings and playfully learn how people used to live in Splügen.

The tour begins at Spielzoll with an audio story that takes you right into the adventure. At each station, you collect a marker on your board. Step by step, you can put the time mess back in order.

Once all the tasks have been solved, a small surprise from Schorsch's dragon treasure awaits at the end.

The Dragon Trail combines play, movement and history and makes the historic village of Splügen an entertaining experience for young and old.

Plan enough time to play and explore, the Dragon Trail is no ordinary walk. The tour can be combined with a visit to the Rheinwald Museum , where dragon George is at home. If you have a picnic with you, you should not miss the short detour to the castle ruins.

At station 1 at the customs house, you activate the journey through time before you solve the first task about the history of the Splügen Pass at the Rossstall. The path continues to Bodenhausplatz, where you can immerse yourself in the time of stagecoaches.

Then you leave the village for a short time and reach the turn-off to the castle ruins. Here you can expect an adventure station in the middle of nature. If you want, you can take a 15-minute detour from here to the castle ruins with picnic area.

The circular route then leads back to the village to the Büel with its beautiful view over Splügen. Continue to the historic Sust, where you will learn more about the movement of goods across the Alps. The last stop is on the village square, the former centre of village life.

After solving all the tasks, you will return to the village center. With all the markers collected on your map, you can pick up your reward at one of the distribution points in the village.
