Details
Description
The route begins with a leisurely roll-in from Walenstadt to Flums. Once in Flums, a long ascent follows. The path leads past lush meadows and rustling fir trees. After a short break, the route continues in the direction of Kohlschlag. You then reach Lake Chapfensee via hiking trails and meadows.
Lake Chapfensee invites you to linger in its secluded spots, which include barbecue areas and numerous benches. So nothing stands in the way of the perfect lunch break. Well fortified and refreshed, the route continues with the descent to Mels. You can put your skills to the test once again on natural paths and tarmac roads. Back in the valley, the route then takes you leisurely along the Seez back to Walenstadt.
Hidden Gem
The Sennäbeizli in Kohlschlag is open and offers excellent regional dishes.
Safety Note
Ride with foresight and behave respectfully towards other recreationists and road users.
Equipment
Normal bike equipment. Functional clothing is an advantage, as a long ascent is followed by an equally long descent.
