Description

E-bike tour to Lake Chapfensee (39km, 4h)
The Chapfensee E-Bike & Hike Tour starts in Bad Ragaz and leads past the Freudenberg castle ruins (one of the largest castle complexes in the Sarganserland) with a beautiful view of the Rhine and Seez valleys towards Vilterserberg. After a short descent to Mels, the route climbs in Mels in the direction of Chapfensee. Soon the day's goal will be reached. The descent leads past further moorland landscapes to Plons. From here it is time to roll back to Bad Ragaz relaxed and refreshed. The railway path leads to Sargans. From there over the Rhine dam, the last few kilometres to Bad Ragaz have to be completed.

Circular hike Chapfensee (2.8km, 1h)
Once the e-bikes are parked at the parking lot of the Chapfensee, a leisurely walk around the picturesque reservoir begins. It's worth taking a break with a picnic. After a break and relaxing, it's back on two wheels.

Normal bike equipment. Functional clothing is an advantage, as a longer ascent is followed by an equally long descent.

Public Transport

By public transport, you can reach Bad Ragaz in just over an hour from St. Gallen and Zurich. The train station is a 15-minute walk from Tamina Therme. The Postbus stops right in front of the Tamina Therme.

Anreise Information

The Tamina Therme Bad Ragaz are only an hour's drive from St. Gallen and Zurich and 30 minutes from Feldkirch. Use the maienfeld motorway exit and follow the signs.
