E-Bike & Hike - Sardonahütte SAC

Details
Description
E-Bike Route to Alp Sardona (60km, 6h)
From Bad Ragaz you ride along the traffic-free Valenserstrasse into the Tamina valley. Passing the milky blue reservoir Mapragg you cycle towards Vättis. At Vättis the path divides. We choose the way into the Calfeisen valley to Alp Sardona. Soon the gigantic Gigerwald dam is reached. At the end of Lake Gigerwald is the Walser settlement St. Martin. We recommend charging the e-bike battery if needed at the Walser settlement St. Martin. It is the last charging possibility in the Calfeisen valley. The last section to Alp Sardona is easy to ride even though the valley becomes increasingly wild. The return route to Bad Ragaz goes via Pfäfers.
Hike to Sardonahütte SAC (5.5 km, 2h 30 min)
As soon as the e-bikes are parked at Alp Sardona, the hike to Sardonahütte can begin. Via "Hintere Melchi" and "Chäsböden" you ascend to the hut. A fantastic view of the surrounding mountains and the Calfeisen valley awaits. The return is along the same paths.
