Directions

You can comfortably reach the starting point at the Foppa mountain station with the modern gondola from Flims. At the beginning, you hike uphill past Maiensässen and wooden barns. On the right, you have a great view of the mighty rock faces of the Flimserstein. Then you cross the snow-covered Flims forest, at the end of which a breather awaits you as it goes briefly downhill. When you leave the trees behind you, you have a wonderful view of the mountain world that motivates you for the subsequent challenging ascent. The last few meters then lead gently downhill to Startgels, your destination. Both in Foppa and in Startgels, there is a place to stop and eat.
