Description

Starting at the Davos Sports Center, the route along Landwasserstrasse passes through the beautiful Davos hamlets of Frauenkirch and Glaris. After the Landwasser Tunnel, there’s a short, steep climb to Wiesen, where a breathtaking view of the Tinzenhorn opens up. The route continues slightly downhill to Brienz, where the nearly 9-kilometer climb to Lenzerheide begins. The route then passes through Valbella, circles around Lake Heidsee (1,484 m above sea level), and descends to Tiefencastel. From there, the road follows the valley floor through Surava and Alvaneu Bad, continuing on to the village of Alvaneu and back through Wiesen to Davos Platz.

Hidden Gem

Be sure to factor in a short stop in the Hotel Bellevue – and not just to enjoy the magnificent view from the hotel’s sun terrace.
