Description

Discover the little treasures of Obersaxen Mundaun. The discovery route begins in Meierhof over the cosy panoramic path Misanenga, Platenga to Surcuolm. Upon arrival in Surcuolm, we take a relaxed break and regain strength before our hike continues to Dachlisee. Enjoy nature in all its facets to the fullest. The path then leads lightly uphill through woods and fields back to Meierhof.

Hidden Gem

The idyllic fireplace by Dachlisee offers ideal conditions for a longer break. Pack your picnic items and enjoy the warm grilled dishes.

Safety Note

In uncertain weather conditions, the route should not be started. Weather changes are common in the mountains. If a rain front or the like approaches during the hike, you should turn back in time.

Equipment

Good hiking shoes with a good tread, weather-appropriate clothing (rain jacket), possibly change of clothes, first aid kit, drink, food, possibly hiking poles.

Two mines were once operated in the municipality of Obersaxen Mundaun. The silver mines of Affeier and the ironworks in the Platenga-Tobel, whose 240 m long tunnel system is now open to tourists. Surselva Tourism Info Obersaxen organises guided tours to the show mine during the summer.
