Description

The starting point for this 3.3 km trail is the info point at the Bad Ragaz station near the Giessenpark outdoor pool (503 m above sea level). For the first few meters, the trail follows the Finnenbahn to the Tamina, from where you have a beautiful view of Sargans' local mountain Gonzen from afar. The trail continues along the footpath alongside the Tamina, first through a romantic mixed forest and then along an avenue of mighty beech trees to the entrance to the village of Bad Ragaz (514). Once you reach the main road, the trail turns left. It continues along the beautifully landscaped tree-lined avenue, past the Catholic church, the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz and its facilities on the right to the level of the golf course (505). The last section of the Giessenpark Trail is quite special, as it runs through the middle of the golf course and the beautifully landscaped Giessenpark with its idyllic lake back to the Infopoint.

Hidden Gem

Most of the Outdoor Fitness Trails run along official hiking trails. The hiking trail signage therefore also helps with orientation along the way.
