Description

From the PostAuto stop Guarda, cumün, the path first leads through the very well-preserved Engadin village of Guarda. The beautiful houses and alleys inspired Selina Chönz and Alois Carigiet to create their children's book Schellen-Ursli, which brought the village the Henri-Louis Wakker Prize in 1975. Staying at the same altitude, the path continues to the hamlet Bos-cha. After Bos-cha, the ascent begins to Munt, above Ardez. From the high-level path around Munt, you enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the surrounding peaks and the Lower Engadin. The descent leads directly to Ardez. Like Guarda, Ardez is also an intact Engadin village with an award-winning village center.

Hidden Gem

The descent from Munt to Ardez is steadily and evenly sloping, which is why it is worthwhile to bring a sled for the final descent to Ardez on this hike.

Safety Note

The path is prepared after every snowfall. Please observe the status reports in the winter sports report. The route was rated under favorable weather conditions; current snow and weather conditions must be checked before starting.
