High-level hike Alptrider Saddle – Heidelberger Hut
Show all 5 images
Details
Description
The hike starts at the mountain station of the world's first double-decker cable car on the Alp Trider Saddle. The high path towards Ravaischer Salaas and Bergli passes dolines („gypsum holes“). You continue over the Zeblasjoch, with some luck you might see ibex or snow grouse. The view into the vast Fimbatal and the Fluchthorn is worth it. From Fuorcla Val Gronda at 2752 m above sea level, the path steadily descends to the Heidelberger Hut.
Safety Note
The route was rated under favourable weather conditions; current weather conditions and forecasts must be strictly observed before starting the route. This hike requires basic alpine experience, orientation skills, hiking boots are recommended.
