Description

The hike takes place mostly in the shade of the trees and is a perfect way to escape the summer heat and ascend to higher elevations without having to climb a mountain. From the Klosters Dorf train station, the route leads up the right side of the valley to about 1,600 meters above sea level before continuing on flat ground to Schlappinsee. The water is very cold and feels refreshing even on hot summer days. After a short loop around the hamlet of Schlappin, the route branches off to the right onto a hiking trail. This trail climbs a few meters in elevation before gradually descending again toward Flue. From there, the descent becomes slightly steeper and leads to the Schlappintobel suspension bridge, which takes you back to the road and the starting point.

Hidden Gem

A hearty meal at Berghaus Erika is a great way to start your hike feeling relaxed.
