At just under 17 kilometers and with a hiking time of about 6 hours, the hike is quite challenging and is best suited for experienced hikers in good physical condition.

In Churwalden, you also have the option of taking the Portal Churwalden gondola lift, allowing you to cover part of the route comfortably by mountain rail.
