Description
This gentle hike is the perfect way to discover the area immediately surrounding the village and gain an initial overview of the valley. Starting from Sedrun train station, head north into the unspoilt Strem Valley. The water from the wild mountain stream thunders unhindered over the impressive waterfall in Bauns. You may need a little luck to catch sight of a marmot, but you're sure to see the cows from the lowlands that spend their summer here. Please exercise caution if there are mothers with calves. It's better to watch the calves from a distance. Every now and then you'll find a bench where you can sit and relax. On reaching Mises Grond, take a moment or two to enjoy the wonderful views of Sedrun and Rueras. As you continue along the trail, you will cross a small valley where you must take the narrow, lower route which will lead you below the Uaul Flurin and into the Milar Valley. On reaching the tarmac mountain road, head east all the way to Sedrun.
