Description
This technically easy route leads up into the high valley of Bargis. After starting in Flims, it initially goes along the asphalt road through the Walser village of Fidaz, past the mighty rock faces of the Flimserstein, up to Bargis. At the mountain hut Bargis, you can find the best fruit cake of the region. At the e-bike charging station, the e-bike can be conveniently charged before the final ascent of the route.
After the well-deserved refreshment, the route continues on a natural road through the picturesque high valley. The path runs along the mighty Flimserstein over the plateau, then slowly ascends and ends at the Alp Rusna.
Behind Alp Rusna is the narrow, gorge-like entrance to the "Cathedral" on the left. A footpath runs along the stream through the steep rock walls. From here you reach the Cathedral, two waterfalls tumbling down from the high pulpit.
The descent follows the same way as the ascent; watch out for oncoming traffic when descending from Bargis to Flims!
The route is suitable for beginners with and without e-bikes. Confident riding on gravel paths is a prerequisite.
