Gemütliche Feuerstelle in der Val Gronda, vor dem Aufstieg zur Alp Gren
The back end of Obersaxen is wild, rough and steep. That is in line with the character of this sometimes energy-sapping route. It's just the ticket for those who fancy sun-kissed alpine roads, a long climb, and varied single trails.

Description

You reach the Wali via the hamlet of Miraniga on an alpine road. After a short descent, turn left and follow a forest road through the Nallwald forest to the Lumbreiner bridge. Now the actual ascent begins. You reach Alp Gren on a natural road that is very steep in places but still rideable - it's easier on an e-bike. The trail branches off to the right just before the alp. The route continues with steady ups and downs on the newly maintained and flowing single trail over the Inneralp in the direction of Vorderalp. From there, you can enjoy a wonderful view as far as the Chur Rhine Valley and over the middle Surselva. Afterwards, the biker's heart beats even faster and you forget the exertions of the ascent on the seemingly endless descent. On the last few kilometers, you ride past the Schwarzenstein ruins. Only a discreet sign tells you that you can reach the perfect vantage point by scrambling a few meters over steps. You now reach the starting point at Meierhof again via meadows and fields.
