Description
From the hamlet Miraniga you reach Wali on an alpine road. After a short descent, turn left and follow a forest road through the shady Nallwald to the Lumbreinerbrücke. Here begins the actual ascent: A partly steep but well rideable natural road leads you (a bit easier with the e-bike) up to Alp Gren.
Just before the alp the trail branches off to the right. On a varied, newly maintained singletrail it goes with slight ups and downs over Inneralp towards Vorderalp. The view over the Chur Rhine Valley and the central Surselva is spectacular.
The long, flowing descent makes every biker's heart beat faster, the effort of the ascent is quickly forgotten. In the last kilometers you pass the Schwarzenstein ruin. A small sign indicates a short detour over steps to a worthwhile viewpoint. Over meadows and fields you finally reach the starting point again in Meierhof.
Hidden Gem
If you want a few more singletrails, you ride below Wali, at Imschlacht over the suspension bridge and a short section along the Walserweg. Consideration for hikers is of course mandatory...
Safety Note
In uncertain weather conditions, the route should not be started. Weather changes in the mountains are frequent. If a rain front or similar approaches during the route, you should turn back in time.
Respect other trail users - trail tolerance!
