Description

The Schwellisee is accessible from Innerarosa by a pleasant walk in less than an hour. Once at the Schwellisee, you can enjoy the mountain panorama and view down to the lake bottom from one of the cozy Arosa benches, or take a walk around the lake on the nature trail. The area around Schwellisee was once surrounded by an Arve (Swiss pine) forest. Above the crystal-clear mountain lake stands a legendary Arve tree, which still serves as a reminder. The hike will bring you back to Innerarosa along the same path.

Hidden Gem

On the way back, a short visit to the Eggahus Local Museum is worthwhile.

Arosa strives to provide hikers with a well-developed and marked network of trails. Please observe the rules and signs. You can find more helpful tips under Hiking info.  This easy hike can also be enjoyed in rainy weather.
