Description

Sporty individuals climb the Jakobshorn under their own power by cycling up the alpine road via Clavadel and Clavadeleralp to the summit. The ascent is manageable and only quite steep in the final section. Most mountain bikers, however, take the gondola for the ascent to the Jakobshorn, which goes all the way to the summit. The descent then starts tough with the ridge trail to Brämabüel. For skilled riders without fear of heights, this section is a treat; for others, the fun on the descent begins in full on the ridge above the Brämabüel station. The trail meanders gently through the partly steep terrain down to the reservoir lake – interrupted by a few switchbacks. Then you roll a few meters on a small road until the next trail starts on the right. This leads through a sea of alpine roses to Ischalp. A few meters of gravel road then lead to the bike trail, which runs a little below Ischalp (middle station of the gondola) almost to the town center of Davos. This path is especially fun, with many berm turns and many flow sections.
