In winter, Jakobshorn is a popular ski area for young and old alike. The Kafi Sex at the Jatzhütte is just as legendary as the world’s first chairlift, which still stands today at the foot of Jakobshorn near Bolgen. But the mountain has a lot to offer in summer as well, such as beautiful landscapes, great mountain restaurants, and especially many top-class trails. Challenge yourself and take on the Jakobshorn Run.

Description
The route starts opposite the Bräma Restaurant. You will quickly reach operating temperature. The first uphill section leads you into the Mattawald and over Gämpen to the beautiful Spinnelenwald. Along a great single trail, it continues flat to Davos Clavadel. Hopefully, you haven't used up all your energy yet, because the next tough uphill climb is already waiting for you. It leads up to just below the Naturfreundehaus on the Clavadeleralp. You have now reached the highest point at around 2,000 meters above sea level. A flowing single trail with a wonderful view of the surrounding mountain world takes you to the Ischalp. From there, a beautiful natural path goes down to above the Bolgen area. From there, the last kilometer goes back on the same path to the starting point, where the route ends after about 11 kilometers.
Hidden Gem
A visit to the Bräma Restaurant at the start and finish of the route is well worth it – not only because of the sunny terrace.
