Jakobsweg (Nr. 43): Lavin – Ardez

This hike takes you on the sunny side of the valley through the typical Engadine cultural landscape.

After starting in Lavin, you will reach a dirt road right after the church, from where you can discover the ruins of Gonda. On the way towards Guarda, you hike through the original Val Tuoi, which inspires with its diverse flora and fauna. In Guarda – the well-known "Schellen-Ursli-Dorf" – a culturally influenced village walk awaits you. You will then continue your hike towards Ardez. The route takes you past the hamlet of Bos-cha as well as several beautiful viewpoints with views over the valley. Soon you will reach your destination with its striking castle ruins.

For an enjoyable break, a coffee and cake stop in Ardez and Guarda is recommended. In Guarda, it is worth stopping at the well-preserved Schellen-Ursli-Haus (Chasa 51), which can be visited from the outside.
