Description

The starting point of this easy bike route is La Punt Chamues-ch, where on the right side of the valley lies the entrance to Val Chamuera, one of the last original Upper Engadine side valleys. The well-drivable natural road steadily ascends from the start and demands strong muscle effort repeatedly with steeper sections. The valley narrows into an impressive gorge and together with the towering mountains on all sides, it forms a breathtakingly wild backdrop. Suddenly, as if out of nowhere, the old white packhouse Serlas appears. Here the valley splits and if you want to go further, you have the choice: either steeply up to Alp Prüna or somewhat more leisurely along the Ova Chamuera to the challenging last section up to Alp Prünella. The return to La Punt is effortless on all routes.

Hidden Gem

In autumn and in the evenings, the valley is in the shade and the descent to La Punt can be very cool.
