A insider tip for hiking enthusiasts is the valley "Val Ladral"
From Waltensburg as well as Andiast, you reach the mouth of the valley near the old sawmill in about an hour. From there, you enter the idyllic valley «Val Ladral». Along the Ladral stream through the forest, you reach the Ladral valley plain, which presents itself with a lush green meadow surrounded by majestic mountains.

Description
You can easily reach the start of the route by postbus, and there is also the possibility to drive with a private vehicle (few parking spaces available). From the post square, go left up the paved road; follow this road for about 45 minutes to Ladinas. There is a road junction there. Follow the left road to the old sawmill Resgia Gneida. Past the sawmill, continue straight up the road, leading you directly into Val Ladral. In the valley plain, you have the option to do a circular hike and enjoy the beautiful barbecue area before you start your way back to Andiast. The whole route is stroller-friendly.

The trail markings in the description of this route are based on the 1:25000 hiking map for Brigels, Waltensburg, Andiast. The hiking map is available at the Brigels information office, at Volg Andiast and Waltensburg, and at Hotel Postigliun in Andiast.
