Description

The Legend Trail starts near the church of San Piero and winds through old larches, firs, and colorful deciduous trees. It is an artistic route suitable for everyone, including families and school groups. Just under 2 km long, it does not present particular difficulties.

On the occasion of the Valposchiavo Expo 2018, several artists and sculptors created statues representing various characters from epic poems. The trail begins with a knight on horseback about to fall into a cliff, signed by the local sculptor Angelo Boninchi. The trail continues narrow and steep, reaching a sequence of wooden sculptures, carved with chainsaws directly in the trees. Among the wood sculptors are the artists Arianna Gasperina from Valvasone (PN) and Nicola Cozzio (Val Rendena). At the end of the route, you reach one of the most beautiful panoramic points in the valley.
