Description

On the road in the direction of Vals we "roll in" and after about ten kilometers follow the signpost to Val Lumnezia. At the far end of the valley lies the picturesque village of Vrin. In 1998, the mountain village was awarded the Wakker Prize and in 2010 it was awarded a "European Village Renewal Prize for holistic, sustainable and motto-oriented village development of outstanding quality".

In the village bakery we strengthen ourselves for the upcoming 600 meters of altitude. The ascent to Alp Nova, which is over 2000 metres above sea level, flies by thanks to the exciting single trail and a wooden pedestrian bridge.

The reward for the hardships of the climb is the tranquility and the view of the surrounding panorama. We treat ourselves to a further refreshment for the descent on the sun terrace in the Wali mountain restaurant, because the gravel roads to the starting point in Ilanz require a little concentration.

On the banks of the Rhine, we congratulate each other for this achievement!
