Madrisa Toboggan Run

The Madrisabahn leads tobogganers from Klosters village up to the Saaseralp (1,887 m above sea level). The toboggan run starts immediately at the mountain station and mostly winds through the forest. Passing Chlein and Gross Alpbach as well as the Ragoztobel, it leads to the small settlements of Unterplangga and Flersch. Those who take a bit more time can admire the wonderful view of the Prättigau. Afterwards, the last section leads down to Saas in the Prättigau. The cozy village on a hill consists mostly of stately, sunburnt wooden houses. These were rebuilt after a village fire in 1735. The reformed village church is a listed building. It dates from the late Gothic period, and the dome of the widely visible tower also dates from 1735. After visiting the village, the post bus takes tobogganers from the village square in Saas back to Klosters.
