Description

You hike between the Maschgenkamm panorama restaurant and the mountain station of the Arven chairlift, around the panorama restaurant. For the first 250 m, a steep path leads down 60 metres in altitude to the Maschgenlücke restaurant. We recommend taking hiking poles with you. The next few metres are shared with the alpine athletes until the winter hiking trail turns off to the left. With a view of the Spitzmeilen area, the hiking trail leads over a small hill on which it is worth stopping briefly to enjoy the wonderful panorama. The trail continues through a quiet forest area and at the junction you choose the right path, on the left it leads to Prodalp. The trail then descends gently to the plain where the Panüöl alpine restaurant is located. From here you can continue hiking to Alp Fursch, to Prodalp or take the 6-seater chairlift back to the Maschgenkamm.

Geheimtipp

From the Maschgenkamm towards Panüöl there are very steep sections. Therefore, a path with the chairlift can also be completed.

Ausrüstung

Normal winter hiking equipment, sturdy shoes. Hiking poles are recommended.

Arrival by train to Unterterzen and up by cable car Unterterzen - Tannenboden

Daily from Zurich with the S25 to Ziegelbrücke with change to the S4 to Unterterzen

Daily from St. Gallen with the S4 directly to Unterterzen

Daily from Zurich and Chur with the RE to Walenstadt with change to bus 444 to Unterterzen

From Unterterzen, the 8-seater gondola lift takes you directly to the Flumserberg valley station Tannenboden LUFAG.

Arrival by train to Flums and Postbus to Flumserberg Tannenboden

Daily to Flums or Sargans, continue by bus 441 direction Flumserberg to the stop Tannenboden, cable car.

Then take the gondola lift to the Maschgenkamm.

Anreise Information

Motorway exit Flums/Flumserberg, follow the main road towards Flumserberg Tannenboden. Then take the gondola to the Maschgenkamm.

Parking

Public parking available at the Tannenboden.

Parking is available from 07.00 to 17.00. From 17.00 to 02.00 we are allowed to leave the car for free.

After 02.00 to 07.00 a.m. there is a night parking ban. There are plenty of night parking spaces in the Tannenboden multi-storey car park or in the Tannenheim.

The night car park can be used for a fee, but camping is prohibited.
