Description

Ardez, with its Engadine houses, is considered the prime example of Romansh residential culture. From the train station, we follow the yellow signposts towards Sur En until we reach the picturesque village of Sur En Ardez.  The path continues with several switchbacks along the forest road up towards Alp Sursass / Muot la Sella. After crossing two small streams, a rather steep, not clearly visible path follows (pay attention to markings on stones) for the final ascent to Muot la Sella. From there, we enjoy the magnificent panoramic view over the Lower Engadine with the villages of Lavin, Guarda, Ardez, Ftan, Scuol, and Sent.
