Description

The element earth can be discovered on the 6.5 kilometre long Feldiser Blumenweg. The raw material earth can be explored on a walk to the old field terraces, the Erratic Block and the Thusisblick viewpoint.

Erratic block
Until the last great ice age ended a good 10,000 years ago, gigantic glaciers covered the area of today's Graubünden. However, the glaciers were not rigid, but moved due to their own weight alone. And sometimes they carried stone blocks weighing tons. The Albula Glacier deposited such a boulder near Feldis. Until modern times, this erratic block served as a so-called "term", as a boundary stone between the villages of Feldis and Scheid.

Any hiking trail closures/restrictions or diversions can be found here.

Geheimtipp

At The Thusisblick and at Casealas there are two cozy fireplaces. Please observe any instructions, e.B. regarding the risk of forest fires.
