Description

Under the starry sky and with a breathtaking view of the Schiesshorn, you can go cross-country skiing even after sunset on Wednesdays and Fridays. The trail is 1.7 km long and overcomes some smaller hills. The trail is suitable for both classic and skating techniques.

Enjoy the impressive mountain panorama on a full moon night.

Safety Note

The entire night cross-country trail is well illuminated. Dogs and pedestrians are not allowed on the trail.

Directions

The start of the night cross-country trail is marked with a sign. The trail initially leads down a very short section and then steadily winds uphill. After a few turns, the next short descent follows before the final straight is tackled.

Public Transport

From Chur, the Rhaetian Railway runs hourly to Arosa and back. At Arosa station, the local bus is waiting for you, which takes you towards Prätschli to the Langlauf stop. In the evening, the regular local bus is not running, but the night express. This costs CHF 3.00. Boarding and alighting is possible anywhere on the route between Kulm and Prätschli. (bus timetable)

From Chur, follow the signs to Arosa. At the village entrance, turn right at the gas station and continue along the road. After a few hundred meters, you will see the cross-country skiing trails on the right. Follow the narrow path to the driving range of Arosa Golf Course. Parking

About 20 parking spaces are available directly in front of the Golfhuus restaurant (starting point for all trails at Maran).

It is recommended to park your car in the Ochsenbühl parking garage. The night bus route passes only a few meters further ahead. The night bus costs CHF 3.00 per ride.
