 Enjoy a unique route with the gravel bike from Laax Murschetg over the sunny slopes of the Surselva. The route takes you down into the Rhine Gorge and back to Laax.

Description
Laax Murschetg, the ideal place to strengthen yourself before the route in one of the numerous cafés. The route starts directly with a climb to Falera, parallel to the Senda dil Dragun it goes up through the forest into the holiday resort. Past alpine meadows and mountain forests you reach the village Ladir with the St. Zeno church which invites you to linger and offers a unique photo motif. From here follows a 5 km long descent before you cross the Rhine for the first time in Ilanz and on the other side of the Rhine follow the little frequented village road towards Valendas. For sporty riders there is an additional loop via Sevgein / Riein / Ober Dutjen in the Beverin Nature Park.
Shortly before Valendas, follow the signpost to Valendas station, down to the Rhine; here is the ideal time for a break, the station buffet supplies hungry bikers with fine sausage and cheese platters from the region.
Now follows the strenuous climb to Laax, which is always rewarded with unique views: at the viewpoint near Tuora you can capture the most spectacular pictures of the Rhine Gorge with its impressive gravel bars.
Hidden Gem
The long and strenuous climb back to Laax should not be underestimated. From Valendas station there are connections to the post bus and the RHB.
