Description

The Rhaetian Railway takes you comfortably up to Bernina Pass, the starting point of the Pass-Piz-Lake Safari. From the Ospizio Bernina station, a single trail leads along Lago Bianco to the dam. From there, it goes on a gravel path past Lej Nair and Lej Pitschen to the valley station of the Diavolezza cable car. Along the way, there is a moderately flowy trail section; don't miss the turn! A beautiful single trail continues down towards Morteratsch. Before Morteratsch, the pass road is crossed, and on the other side of the valley, the trail leads to Pontresina. At the village end, the valley side changes again, and on a wide natural road, you pass the famous church San Gian on the way to Celerina. Now you can rest because you take the gondola to Marguns and then the chairlift to Corviglia, followed by the gondola up to Piz Nair. Take your time to enjoy the beautiful view. From Piz Nair, you look down on your day's goal, Silvaplana and Lake Silvaplana. But before you get there, alpine, technical single trails and the WM Flow Trail await you, with a good 1200 meters of descent.
