Details

Description

From Bregaglia as well as from the Avers long and challenging tour in the summit area.

Geheimtipp

If you feel unsafe, we recommend that you make an appointment for this experience with a mountain guide.

Sicherheitshinweis

  • In case of doubt, never! Do not trust existing traces; they are not a guarantee of avalanche safety.
  • Check the avalanche transceiver (avalanche transceiver) before each descent.
  • Carrying a backpack with snow shovel, avalanche probe and first aid kit.
  • Note possible weather changes.
  • Never "ride" alone! Always observe each other and be ready to react!

Directions

From Casaccia northwards to point 1586 and on the Alpine path through val Maroz to Alp Maroz Dent. Continue west through the flat basin of Magnocca and shortly afterwards at a suitable place over the Maira and up to the Lägh da la Duana. Now southwards through the east Kar des Piz Duan over several steps below the east summit and then westwards, finally steeply, to the summit head.

Descent along the ascent route. In good conditions you can drive down to about 2560m, east, directly into Val Maroz.
